Easy Infinity Scarf (+ 3 Ways to Style)

Hi everyone! If you've been following our blog for a while, you'll start to notice that we wear infinity scarves a lot. I love love love infinity scarves, and so I wanted to show you how I make them. It's so easy and simple that I'm sure you all will be loving them, too!

(Before you begin: Make sure you have your parent's okay on the shirt you are going to cut.)

Step One:
Get an old shirt that you don't wear anymore.

Step Two:
Grab your scissors and cut a straight line 4 or 5 inches above the bottom the shirt, all the way across.

When you're finished, take the bottom piece, and you have your infinity scarf!

This tutorial works on all kinds of shirts. The scarf I wore in the post Winter is Coming! was from an old sweater. Now that you know how to make your own infinity scarf, I'm going to show you some ways to style it!

1. Over a Dress
If you want to give your dress a more casual look, throw on an infinity scarf! I like having one patterned piece over one solid color piece, but go with your own style! If you like stripes and floral, then choose colors that complement each other, and create a look that is uniquely you!

 2. Layers, layers, layers!
Layering is perfect, especially in chilly weather! Start with either a patterned or simple top, then go from there. Add a basic colored coat or denim jacket, then top it off with a scarf! You can really go bold with your colors in the scarf or top, but again, make sure the colors complement each other so it's not overpowering. Add some accessories, like bracelets, rings, earrings, to give it a girly touch. Mix and match, and have fun with it!

3. Jazz up an outfit
A scarf can immediately jazz up any plain outfit. It can give your outfit a pop of color, some pattern, or make a statement about yourself. A scarf can also show your personality. If your personality is happy and friendly, than a cheery yellow scarf can reflect that. Scarves are my #1 accessory.

1 scarf. 3 looks. Try making your own!

Love,
Carl

Luke 2:8-9
"8 And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear."
