Unwrap your caramels and melt them in the microwave for 1 minute. After it's all melted, stir in just a little bit of milk (around a teaspoon). You can add more or less according to your liking. The less milk you stir in, the thicker your caramel coating will be. The more milk stir in, the thinner your coating will be.
Wash and dry your apple. Make sure it's completely dry, because if it's not, the caramel will slide off instead of stick.
Dip your apple in the caramel, making sure all sides are coated. Then stick like a fork or a chopstick into the center of your apple, so you can hold it.
Place plastic wrap on your table, then set your apple down to dry. Optional: Decorate your apple with sprinkles! If you wanted to give it a festive touch, try red and green sprinkles-- or any other Christmas color.
As you can see, I went a little crazy with the sprinkles.
All done! After the caramel coating on your apple hardens, it's ready to eat!
